At the end of November the time has finally come and the second half of the 4th season «Vikings» starts. German-speaking fans don't have to wait that long this time, because the new episodes are available on Amazon Prime a few hours after their US premiere. We can look forward to a new episode every week.
Fans of the "Vikings" series had to wait a long time for their heroes to return. Season 4 ended after ten episodes, of course exactly when things got particularly exciting after a time jump. The second half of the season starts on November 30th on American television and German-speaking fans can already watch Ragnar (Travis Fimmel), Björn (Alexander Ludwig), Hvitserk (Marco Islø), Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen), Ubbe ( Jordan Patrick Smith) and Sigurd (David Lindstron), Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) & Co on their historical forays. Ragnar Lothbrok fades more and more into the background in the second half of season 1, his glorious days as a hero seeming to be coming to an end. Instead, it is now primarily his five sons that are the focus of the story. A breath of fresh air is therefore inevitable.
If you don't like changes at all and are very attached to the "Vikings" cast, you should enjoy the last episodes of season 4 again. Because Michael Hirst confirmed in an interview about a year ago that we have to part ways with Ragnar (Travis Fimmel). For four seasons he was the main character of the series, now the end is near. "It will be devastating for viewers to see a great character die and a magnificent character come to an end. Travis was absolutely charismatic and amazing." like Hirst. With Ragnar's death, the focus of the story should shift more to his adult sons. «They will be different, every son has a different destiny (...). Hopefully, instead of just following one charismatic leader, we will have four, young, charismatic leaders to follow."

The team is currently working on the 5th season of «Vikings», which is due to be broadcast in 2017. Lagertha gets another tattoo in season 5. This time it is clearly visible on her left shoulder and extends to her upper arm. You can see several chains, she herself provided the picture with the hashtag "chain armor". Is the tattoo related to Lagertha's fight against Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland)? In the trailer for the second half of the "Vikings" season, a fight between the two women has already been confirmed. It is even rumored that she will become the new leader of Kattegat, reclaiming her position from Aslaug. Winnick recently appeared on Instagram with a very special dark look that promises a strong season for Lagertha. Torvi (Georgia Hirst) seems to follow in her footsteps as a brave warrior. In an Instagram video we see her on the battlefield with shield and sword.
